9TH ANNUAL WOMEN'S HEALTH CONFERENCE
March 5 & 6, 2011 @ the Omni Hotel at Yale, New Haven
The 9th annual Women's Health Conference, presented by the Women & Family Life Center offers women the most current health information presented by leading experts while also providing a fun and relaxing day to connect with other women. This year's theme, "Exploring the Art of Living," excites women's curiosities to embrace new ideas, learn about cutting edge health information, and challenge notions of wellness and being.
The conference is made possible through Executive Sponsorship by Yale-New Haven Hospital and Yale New Haven Health. Marna Borgstrom, CEO of Yale-New Haven Hospital and Yale New Haven Health System, serves as the 2011 Honorary Chair of the conference.
Conference Information
The 2011 conference will take place on Sunday, March 6, from 8:00am to 4:00pm at the Omni Hotel at Yale in New Haven and will feature a wide variety of keynote speakers, informational booths and seminars that address topics in the areas of cutting-edge medicine, wellness, alternative therapies, and nutrition. Attendees will choose from 11 choices in each of three breakout sessions. The conference will also host a "Vendor Marketplace" where guests can browse, shop and sample from a variety of organizations and businesses.
In addition to the breakout sessions, the conference will present two keynote speakers, a morning breakfast assembly and an afternoon luncheon assembly. We are pleased to present Dr. David Katz, MD as our morning keynote speaker.
Saturday Evening Pre-Conference Event
For the fourth year, the conference again provides an overnight option with activities planned for participants on the Saturday evening (March 5th) before the conference. Plans are still being discussed for this year's entertainment.

Call for Presenters for
9th Annual Women's Health Conference
The Women & Family Life Center (WFLC) is seeking proposals for presentations at breakout sessions for its 9th Annual Women's Health Conference. This year, the conference will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at the Omni Hotel in New Haven, Connecticut. This year's theme, "Exploring the Art of Living," excites women's curiosities to embrace new ideas, learn about cutting edge health information, and challenge notions of wellness and being. The conference draws over 250 women from all over Connecticut, as well as from New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Presenters, who are willing to donate their time and expertise, are being sought for a variety of topics in the areas of health, medical, wellness and balance. The WFLC seeks qualified individuals who have experience in leading 60-minute workshops to a mostly lay audience interested in learning about all topics related to women. Workshops should be informative and interactive. Medical areas particularly being sought are heart disease, sleep, skin, sex, menopause, allergies and nutrition, although all proposals will be considered. Presentations on wellness can be any exercise, meditation and relaxation workshops, and balance topics are open to any who wish to submit.
